This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record.
Official Offices and Records
Use the contact that matches the custody system or document. Marshall County Jail and Sheriff records questions go to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, 520 Sixth Street, Lacon, IL 61540, at 309-246-2115. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; jail staff are on duty at all times, but that does not make the public records office a round-the-clock service. Carrie Fidler is the named FOIA officer and office manager. Formal requests should be routed to the FOIA officer.
For filed court orders, contact Circuit Clerk Gina Noe at 122 N. Prairie Street, P.O. Box 328, Lacon, IL 61540-0328, 309-246-6435, or ginanoe@marshallcountyillinois.gov. The Marshall-Putnam-Stark Probation office uses the same street and post-office-box address and can be reached at 309-246-8604 or probation@marshallcountyillinois.gov. Probation is a court supervision office, not a custody locator.
IDOC public information and FOIA mail go to 1301 Concordia Court, P.O. Box 19277, Springfield, IL 62794-9277. The main number is 217-558-2200. Send IDOC records requests to DOC.FOIARequest@illinois.gov or fax 217-558-5612; request-status calls use the main number, extension 4166. These routes cover state prison records rather than Marshall County Jail records.
Choose a route based on the question:
- For a released person or local release entry, begin with the home-page search and records guide, then contact the Sheriff for the source record.
- For court probation or state parole, use the Parole & Probation guide and its correct supervising office.
- For very recent county departures, the 24-Hour Release List page explains the bounded Sheriff request needed because no official feed exists.
- For an expected prison date or custody alert, consult Projected Release Date and the VINELink Check.
- For a particular custody system, use the Marshall County Jail or IDOC facility page listed below.
- For a sentenced Illinois prisoner, search IDOC and use its FOIA office for records not shown publicly.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
